Through its subsidiary ArthroCare Biotechnology, ArthroCare Pty Ltd will establish a robust research and development program, which will seek to invent, develop, validate and bring to market across the globe, innovative, safe, affordable and wherever possible, substantially curative medications for the treatment of Rheumatoid and other painful and debilitating forms of arthritis. In some cases these products will be developed by genetic engineering technology. ArthroCare Biotechnology will ensure that when negotiating licensing agreements for its products, provision will be made for commercial products to be subsidized when supplied to developing countries, so that irrespective of geographic location, no patient with any serious form of arthritis will be significantly disadvantaged.
